Our marine grade paint ball mill is a heavy-duty grinding and mixing solution engineered exclusively for industrial business buyers specializing in shipbuilding paint and industrial coating production. This industry-leading shipbuilding paint ball mill delivers ultra-fine grinding and homogeneous mixing of pigments and raw materials, ensuring the uniform particle size and stable performance required for high-spec marine anti-corrosion, anti-fouling, and weather-resistant coatings. Available in a full range of capacities from lab-scale R&D to large-volume continuous production, it is the ideal equipment for high-quality industrial paint manufacturing.
This horizontal paint ball mill operates on the principle of impact and attrition grinding. The machine consists of a horizontally rotating cylindrical barrel, transmission shaft, and high-hardness grinding balls. As the barrel rotates, centrifugal force and friction lift the grinding balls to a certain height, after which they fall freely. The continuous impact, collision, and shearing action of the grinding balls effectively grind coarse pigment particles into ultra-fine, uniform powder, while achieving full homogeneous mixing of raw materials. By adjusting the grinding time, grinding ball material/size, and barrel rotation speed, operators can achieve the ideal mixing and grinding effect for diverse formulations.

This industrial paint grinding ball mill achieves rapid, efficient pigment grinding and mixing, significantly boosting production efficiency. The processed pigment particles are ultra-uniform and delicate, ensuring consistent color development, adhesion, and anti-corrosion performance of the final paint products, meeting the strict standards of the shipbuilding industry.
Equipped with a low-energy, high-efficiency motor, the equipment reduces power consumption while maintaining high output. Its fully sealed structure prevents material leakage and dust emission, complying with global environmental protection regulations, and its simple operation reduces labor costs and overall production expenses.
Constructed with premium wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the ship paint mixing and grinding equipment features a heavy-duty barrel and reinforced transmission system, supporting 24-hour continuous industrial production. It is specially designed to handle the high-hardness pigments and high-viscosity formulations common in marine paint manufacturing.
The equipment supports customizable configurations including lining material, grinding ball type, and motor specifications, adapting to a wide range of raw materials and production processes. It is compatible with diverse paint formulations and extends to multiple industrial production scenarios beyond marine coatings.
The core application of this ball mill is shipbuilding and offshore platform marine paint manufacturing. It is also widely used in industrial paint and coating production, dye and pigment processing, fine chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical powder formulation processing, papermaking coating production, and pesticide formulation processing, meeting the grinding and mixing needs of multiple industrial sectors.
Install the equipment on a solid, level concrete foundation, fix the barrel with anchor bolts, and ensure reliable grounding of the motor and electrical system. Align the transmission shaft and motor to avoid eccentricity, and check the tightness of all fasteners before startup.
Load grinding balls and materials according to the specified filling ratio before operation, strictly prohibit overloading. Start the equipment with an empty barrel first, then feed materials evenly after stable operation. Shut down the equipment and cut off the power supply before any inspection, cleaning, or maintenance work.
Lubricate the transmission bearings every 1 month to reduce wear. Inspect the barrel lining, grinding balls, and sealing parts regularly, and replace worn components in a timely manner. Check the motor temperature and vibration during operation to ensure long-term stable running.
We offer a full range of models with barrel capacities from 50L to 3000L, and can customize larger specifications to meet your lab R&D, pilot test, and large-scale mass production needs.
It is suitable for marine anti-corrosion coatings, industrial paints, organic/inorganic pigments, dyes, pesticides, pharmaceutical powders, papermaking coatings, and other materials, handling both high-hardness grinding and high-viscosity mixing.
We provide customized grinding process solutions by adjusting the grinding time, grinding ball material and size, and barrel rotation speed, to achieve the uniform particle size distribution required for high-performance marine coatings.
