The high-speed disperser has significantly better mixing and dispersing effects in coating production than ordinary mixers, especially suitable for efficient dispersion of solid particles such as pigments and fillers, and is the core equipment of modern coating industry. Ordinary mixers are more suitable for simple liquid mixing or low-intensity mixing needs. Working principle:

High speed disperser

By rotating the serrated dispersing disk at high speed, strong shear, impact, and turbulence are generated in the material, achieving:

Rapid wetting and depolymerization of solid particles

Microscopic crushing of pigment aggregates

Uniform refinement and stabilization of paint slurry

Its function is not limited to mixing, but focuses more on the physical modification process of "dispersion".

Ordinary mixer

By relying on propeller blades or anchor structures to promote the circulation of materials, it mainly achieves:

Macroscopic mixing between liquids

Insulation or dilution of dispersed systems

But it cannot provide sufficient shear force to effectively disperse powder or break stubborn aggregates.

Specific manifestations in coating applications

Dispersion effect

The high-speed disperser can disperse pigments to the micrometer or even submicron level, significantly improving the coating's coverage and color consistency;

Ordinary mixers can only maintain the suspended state of dispersed systems, and long-term operation is difficult to eliminate defects such as "white spots" or "fish eyes".

Process adaptability

High speed dispersers are often used as pre dispersing equipment, combined with sand mills, greatly reducing the subsequent grinding time;

Ordinary mixers are often used in the paint mixing stage for color adjustment, dilution, or homogenization before discharge.

Production efficiency

Taking latex paint production as an example, a high-speed disperser can complete the dispersion of pigments and fillers within 20-40 minutes;

It takes more than 2 hours to use a regular mixer, and the fineness is difficult to meet the standard.
