1、 Application of Z-type Kneading Machine in Silicone Rubber Processing
Silicone rubber has extremely high viscoelasticity and thixotropy, making it difficult to achieve uniform dispersion with ordinary stirring. The Z-type kneading machine adopts double ∑ - or Z-type stirring blades, which rotate in opposite directions at different speeds (such as fast blade 48.26 RPM, slow blade 28 RPM), forming a multidimensional shear force field in the W-shaped cylinder, causing the material to repeatedly fold, squeeze, and fold, achieving deep homogeneous mixing.
The equipment is usually equipped with a vacuum system (with a vacuum degree of up to -0.094MPa), which effectively eliminates bubbles in the rubber material, prevents pores or strength defects in the finished product, and is particularly suitable for the pre mixing and devolatilization process of HTV high-temperature vulcanized silicone.
The heating methods are mostly electric heating or jacket heat transfer oil heating, with a temperature control accuracy of ± 2 ℃, ensuring stable and controllable reaction process.
2、 The adaptation advantages of Z-type kneading machine for butyl rubber
Butyl rubber has a viscosity of up to 10 ⁵ -10 ⁶, which is a typical high torque mixing scenario. The Z-type kneading machine outputs low-speed and high torque force (5-25r/min) through a four stage reduction transmission system (motor reducer gear set) to ensure that the adhesive is fully sheared without overheating and degradation.
Its core advantage lies in the screw extrusion discharge design, which solves the industry problem of "raw material storage in the feeding port" during traditional flipping cylinder discharge, achieving continuous and stable feeding. At the same time, it is equipped with a 400 mesh detachable filter device and a spring scraper cleaning system, with a residual material removal rate of over 99%, improving the purity of the rubber material.
This model has been widely used in the mixing and production of butyl hot melt adhesive for insulating glass, automotive sealing strips, building waterproof tapes, and photovoltaic module packaging film base materials.
3、 Technical matching of Z-type kneading machine in hot melt adhesive production
Although hot melt adhesive exhibits flow dynamics under heating, its viscosity can still reach tens of thousands to millions of poise, and it quickly solidifies after cooling, requiring efficient mixing and rapid discharge. The Z-type kneading machine adopts a differential transmission and helical gear meshing structure, with the driving shaft and dual driven shafts running at different speeds to form a high-strength shear zone, promoting the uniform fusion of polymers such as EVA and SIS with thickening resins and fillers.
Due to the inability of hot melt adhesive to be discharged by tilting the cylinder, the equipment is generally equipped with a double screw extruder (with an extrusion efficiency of 1.2t/h), which is synchronized with the main motor to ensure continuous and stable discharge.
The temperature control system supports multiple modes such as jacket steam, thermal oil heating, and water cooling, meeting the plasticization and cooling needs of different formulations. It is suitable for industrial production of butyl hot melt adhesive, SIS type pressure-sensitive adhesive and other products.
