Plastic Recycling Granulator

The main purpose of a plastic granulator is to process waste plastics or raw plastic materials into plastic pellets with uniform specifications and stable performance through processes such as heating, melting, extrusion, and cutting. These pellets can be used as recycled or modified materials for the production of subsequent plastic products.

The daily maintenance and upkeep of plastic granulators are the core links to ensure production continuity, extend equipment lifespan, and ensure particle quality.

Daily maintenance process before, during, and after operation

1. Check before startup

Lubrication status confirmation: Check the oil level of the gearbox and whether the lubrication points of the bearings are sufficient. The lubricating oil needs to be replaced after the first 500 hours of operation of the new machine, and then every 3000 hours thereafter.

Fastener inspection: Confirm that the anchor bolts and connecting bolts of the machine barrel are not loose, and re tighten them after the first heating due to thermal expansion.

Electrical control system inspection: Check whether the instruments and indicator lights are normal. Clean the dust in the electrical control cabinet once a month to prevent short circuits.

Raw material preparation: Ensure that the plastic raw materials are dry, free of hard impurities such as metal or sand, and avoid damaging the screw and barrel.

2. Monitoring during operation

Temperature control: closely monitor the temperature of each section to ensure that it reaches the process set value and remains constant for 15 minutes before starting the screw, to avoid the phenomenon of "sticking bars" caused by low-temperature starting.

Current and pressure monitoring: The current of the main motor should be stable. If it continues to overload, the feeding speed, lubrication, or blockage issues should be immediately investigated.

Sound and vibration: Listen to the sound of equipment operation, and promptly shut down for inspection if abnormal friction, impact, or periodic abnormal response is detected.

Observation of discharge quality: Check whether the particles are uniform, whether there are broken strips, discoloration or poor plasticization, adjust parameters or clean the mold head in a timely manner.

3. Post shutdown processing

Cleaning and Cleaning: After production, use cleaning materials to replace residual materials, especially plastics with poor thermal stability, to prevent carbonization and blockage.

Cleaning of mold head and cutting system: remove residue on the mold surface and apply rust proof oil; Check whether the moving and fixed knives are loose or dull, and if necessary, polish or replace them.

Environmental cleanliness: Keep the surface and surroundings of the equipment clean to prevent dust and oil accumulation from affecting heat dissipation and operational safety.
